Job Summary

Execute a strategic business development plan to secure new hospital and health-system customers across Western and Northern Canada. Prospect consistently through executive outreach, referrals, networking, and targeted account development to open doors where no immediate sales opportunity exists. Build credibility with C-suite leaders and develop solutions aligned with customer priorities, managing opportunities from initial prospecting through contract execution. Present persuasive financial and operational business cases to senior leadership while representing the organization at industry events and conferences. Must reside in the Greater Calgary or Edmonton area with a valid driver's license, prepared to travel 50% of the time. This hunter role offers considerable autonomy to develop your territory within a sophisticated service offering that addresses significant hospital financial and operational challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive healthcare sales or business development experience
  • Proven success winning complex hospital or health-system business
  • Demonstrated history of creating new opportunities and generating revenue rather than relying primarily on established accounts
  • Experience selling medical device capital equipment, equipment service contracts, healthcare technology, managed services, or similarly complex solutions
  • Proven ability to manage long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and formal approval processes
  • Must reside in the Greater Calgary or Edmonton area
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Must be prepared to travel a minimum of 50% of the time throughout Western Canada and the Northern Territories

Desired Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Knowledge of Western Canadian hospitals, health authorities, and healthcare networks is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare operations, hospital procurement, capital equipment management, and healthcare funding environments
  • Genuine hunter mentality backed by disciplined prospecting habits, persistence, and measurable new business results
  • Executive presence with the confidence to engage C-suite healthcare leaders on operational and financial priorities
  • Strong strategic and consultative selling skills, including stakeholder mapping, account planning, value-based selling, and opportunity development
  • Financial acumen with the ability to connect service solutions to measurable customer outcomes
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and business case development capabilities
