Job Summary
Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care that meets the individual needs of residents in nursing homes across Waterford, Ireland. Build positive relationships by understanding residents' interests, assisting with mobility and personal care while maintaining dignity, and monitoring wellbeing to communicate changes to the nursing team. Organise social and therapeutic activities, foster communication with families, and uphold hygiene and infection prevention standards. This full-time role requires a FETAC Level 5 qualification, fluent English, and a compassionate approach, offering guaranteed hours, premium rates for Sunday shifts, and clear career progression pathways.
Required Qualifications
- FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification with relevant healthcare modules completed
- Fluent in spoken and written English with strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Stamp 4 or Stamp 1G permissions
- EU citizenship
- All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance, and Garda Vetting
