Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence in a nursing home in Co Wexford, Ireland. Assist residents with mobility, daily living activities, personal care, feeding, and hydration. Provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance while building positive relationships with families and the multidisciplinary team. Monitor residents' conditions, report changes, and ensure infection prevention and health safety standards are met. Support participation in social and recreational activities. Full-time position with guaranteed contracts; sponsorship not available. Requires Healthcare qualification (QQI Level 5 or equivalent) and previous care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Healthcare qualification completed or currently in progress (QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent)
- Relevant healthcare experience is required for Senior Healthcare Assistant applicants
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred resident care
- Compassionate and caring approach with a genuine interest in supporting older adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
- All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance, and Garda Vetting
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or residential care setting is desirable
