Job Summary
Deliver high standard, person-centred care to residents with dementia, managing activities of daily living including washing, toileting, dressing, and dining. Implement individual care plans, report changes in wellbeing or incidents to the nursing team, and maintain a safe environment aligned with health and safety policies. Communicate compassionately with residents, families, and representatives while promoting resident independence and choice. This permanent, full-time or part-time role is based in Co. Kildare and requires a Healthcare Assistant with EU citizenship or a valid Irish work permit, two years of elder care experience, and a degree in OR nursing or allied health.
Required Qualifications
- Healthcare QQI Level 5 (or similar)
- EU citizenship or a valid Irish work permit (Stamp 4, Stamp 1G, or equivalent with no working restrictions)
- Two or more years of experience providing elder care
- strong cooperation and communication abilities
- Excellent motivational and managerial abilities
- A degree in OR nursing, allied health, or healthcare
