Job Summary
Assist the Health and Wellness Manager by ensuring residents receive care to meet their needs and promote wellness. Monitor the well-being of residents not requiring care, complete paperwork for admission, discharge, and ongoing documentation, and apply the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating to provide high-quality care. Ensure residents and families are involved in decisions affecting their care where appropriate, and assist in hiring, training, and supervising the Resident Care Team. Requires a valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses, current first aid and CPR certification, and knowledge of relevant legislation.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses in your province
- current first aid and CPR certification
- strong organizational and assessment skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Computer skills and training in dementia care
