Job Summary
Serve as the University's primary resource for student health services, insurance, and wellness programming by providing consultation on third-party vendors and UC SHIP coverage. Manage relationships with healthcare providers and insurance carriers to ensure robust access to primary, urgent, and mental health care. Administer UC SHIP insurance, including waiver management, vendor coordination, compliance monitoring, and data reporting. Coordinate with students on immunization and vaccination requirements while developing internal communications and evaluating program outcomes. Develop departmental policies and collaborate with admissions and student services to integrate health initiatives throughout the student experience. Work in-person or hybrid to support the Dean of Students in developing and assessing student success initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education, healthcare administration, public health, student affairs, or a related field
- Knowledge of healthcare systems
- Experience managing health insurance, wellness programming, vendor relationships, or healthcare operations
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Professional degree in Public Health, Student Affairs, Higher Education, Health Administration, Counseling, or related field
- Experience with student health insurance administration in a higher education setting
- Knowledge of FERPA, HIPAA, ADA, and higher education privacy and compliance requirements
- Candidates able to work in-person or on a hybrid (in-person/remote) basis
