Job Summary
Plan, organize, and implement non-nursing functions for assigned pediatric and NICU units to facilitate workflow and enhance productivity. Perform clerical and reception duties, including stocking supplies and requisitioning equipment and services as directed. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff while promoting efficient unit function and indirect resident care. Work a day rotation from 0700 to 1930 with every-other-weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a health unit coordinator program or medical secretary program
- 1 year experience or training in a hospital or clinic setting as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist
