Health Unit Coordinator - Nursing Support Services - HUC

Health Unit Coordinator provides organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team. Responsibilities include monitoring and ordering supplies, promptly answering patient call lights and elevating patient needs to nursing staff, and assisting with managing orders in the electronic health record (EHR). Communicates with patients, visitors, and staff; serves as a resource to the care team and uses Mayo Clinic resources. Requires good judgment, problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills; participates in continuous improvement and supports the healthcare team by anticipating requests and patient needs. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and familiarity with EHR systems; EPIC experience is preferred. Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Exemption status: Nonexempt. Salary range: $20.98 - $29.19 per hour (annualized to $43,638 - $60,715). Schedule: Full Time, 12-hour day/night rotations; weekends every 3rd. Sites include Mayo Clinic campuses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ; Eau Claire, WI; Jacksonville, FL; Rochester, MN, with broader Mayo Clinic presence in the Midwest and internationally.
