Job Summary
Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) with a Day/Evening schedule and rotating weekends; responsibilities include managing day-to-day unit operations, answering phones, organizing files, ordering supplies, handling correspondence, managing databases, supporting patients and families, and coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges with the clinical team. Maintain accurate electronic health records and perform clerical duties. Qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively, strong organizational skills, and at least 1 year of experience in a medical or customer service setting; high school diploma required.
