Job Summary
Answer phones, coordinate communications with physicians and families, and greet newly admitted patients on the ICU/CCU unit. Escort visitors to rooms, maintain inventory and PAR levels for lab supplies, and order specialty items through Lawson or Staples. Perform hourly and environmental rounds, respond to call bells, and notify nurses of patient needs. Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers in EPIC, prepare patient charts, and manage daily staffing by developing schedules in API and monitoring work behavior. Complete required reports, maintain downtime documentation, and update white boards as directed by nursing leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team

- Previous related work experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
