Job Summary
Plan, organize, and implement non-nursing functions of the Emergency Department to facilitate workflow and enhance productivity. Perform clerical and reception duties, including requisitioning supplies and equipment, assisting with scheduling, and observing telemetry monitors to notify caregivers of patient changes. This part-time role requires 20 hours per week in a mix of 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays. BLS certification is required within three months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- 20 hour per week
- Mix of 8 hour shifts (8am-4:30pm and 4:30pm-Midnight)
- Every other weekend
- Holidays
- BLS certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire
- Maintain BLS certification thereafter
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Health screening and immunization review
- Verification of applicable licensure, certifications, education, and experience
- Background checks including criminal, urine drug screen and MVR where required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or training in a hospital or clinic setting as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist
