Job Summary
Health Unit Coordinator position plans, organizes, and implements the non-nursing functions of assigned unit(s) to facilitate workflow, enhance unit productivity, and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff. Performs clerical and reception duties; requisition supplies, equipment, and services as directed; assist with scheduling; may observe telemetry monitoring when indicated and notify patient’s caregiver of any changes; and other duties as assigned. Shift rotation Day/Eve in the United States (Duluth, MN). Preferred candidates have hospital/clinic experience as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist; training programs in health unit coordination or medical secretary are noted as preferred. Education: No educational requirement; 1 year experience or training in a hospital/clinic setting if no formal education. Licensure/Certification: No certification or licensure required.
