Job Summary
Conduct administrative and technical support for the nursing unit, serving as the central communication hub for staff and leaders. Manage unit operations by collaborating on development, oversight, and daily functioning while maintaining a supportive tone during evening shifts from Monday to Friday, 19:00–23:00. Requires medical terminology coursework, one year of healthcare secretarial experience, and proficiency with various software applications. This role empowers caregivers within a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care at Providence Medford Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Medical terminology course or equivalent educ/experience
- 1 year - Experience performing secretarial duties in healthcare, or equivalent training in a recognized healthcare program
- Experience with a variety of software applications
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year post high school education
- Satisfactory completion of health unit coordinator coursework or equivalent educ/experience
- National Certification Health Unit Coordinator upon hire
- Experience as a preceptor/role model
