Job Summary
Dual-role position for Ipswich Public Schools combining Health Teacher (0.6 FTE) and Athletic Trainer (0.4 FTE) for the school year. Health Education duties include teaching three sections per semester, developing curriculum-aligned lesson plans promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being, assessing student progress with accurate grading records, and fostering an inclusive classroom. Athletic Training duties cover preventative care, emergency triage, evaluation and rehabilitation of student-athletes, injury management and return-to-play with medical coordination, and attendance at home events as designated. Requires MA Health/Family Consumer Science License, MA Athletic Trainer License, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Health/Family Consumer Science License (issued by DESE)
- Valid Athletic Trainer License issued by the MA Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
