Job Summary

Health Systems Oncology Medical Affairs Director leading MA activities within a remote role across the South/Southwest territory, developing ongoing professional relationships with key payer and provider decision makers, delivering medical information on the oncology product portfolio, and shaping strategic account plans with IAM teams. Serves as a primary resource for market dynamics, supports the MA team leadership, participates in scientific meetings, and travels up to 50% to Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico. Requires MD/PhD/PharmD with 3+ years field MA experience or 5 years clinical oncology in health systems, plus deep knowledge of pharmacoeconomics, value-based care, and healthcare policy; strong interpersonal, ethical compliance, and leadership capabilities; salary range $210,400–$331,100 with annual bonus and benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • MD, PhD, or PharmD
  • 3 years of dedicated experience in a field-based MA role working with regional and/or national payers, integrated delivery systems, or scientific leaders OR 5 years of clinical oncology experience working within a health system OR the equivalent
  • Experience with organized healthcare system(s) or payer organization(s), including ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with key decision makers
  • Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine, healthcare delivery system structure and function, pharmacoeconomics, disease management, quality management, value-based payment, and healthcare delivery policy and trends
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to network, strong personal integrity, collaborative mindset, and a strong customer focus
  • Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrable project leadership abilities
