Job Summary
Conduct client health assessments, develop medical plans, and provide compassionate, person-centered health care support across all programs. Oversee nursing staff, manage medication audits, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements and agency policies. Recruit, hire, and supervise nursing personnel while developing training on medication self-administration, First Aid/CPR, and universal precautions. Respond to urgent medical situations, maintain on-call rotation, and manage facility medical supplies. Assist in developing agency health care policy and evaluate service processes for continuous improvement. Requires a Registered Nurse with valid Minnesota license and five years of psychiatric or chemical dependency experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- valid Minnesota State nursing license
- Must be able to pass DHS Rule 11 background check
- Current two-step Mantoux/Tuberculosis Skin Test, TB Gold test, or ability to obtain
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- CPR/First Aid trained
- Ability to structure time well, develop priorities, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with professionalism, respect, and cultural awareness
- Must be able to pass DHS Rule 11 background check
- Current two-step Mantoux/Tuberculosis Skin Test, TB Gold test, or ability to obtain
Desired Qualifications
- Five or more years of psychiatric and/or chemical dependency nursing experience preferred
- Five or more years of experience supervising nursing services at a substance use disorder and/or mental health facility preferred
- Working knowledge of the chemical dependency treatment continuum
- CPR Instructor certified
