Job Summary
Coordinate resident care and medication management under physician supervision to ensure continuing independence. Communicate with healthcare professionals, discharge planners, and state agencies regarding all resident needs. Administer medications and treatments per the Nurse Practice Act while overseeing Medication Technician training. Perform pre-admission assessments and routine reassessments for new and existing residents. Interview families, obtain medical records per Title 22, and conduct staff interviews to monitor resident physical and emotional health changes. Report resident status updates to the Executive Director and responsible parties. This role supports a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group, delivering five-star services across California, Colorado, Hawaii, and Nevada.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) holding a valid California nursing license in good standing
- Must pass a criminal background clearance before beginning work
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Able to obtain and maintain valid first aid and CPR certification
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Able to obtain a valid Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer two (2) years of experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees
