Job Summary
Lead department training as a Health Services Director in Training (HSDiT), gaining comprehensive management skills through direct instruction from department heads. Complete three months of on-the-job experience at a community, working under a current Health Services Director to learn team management and clinical leadership. Travel throughout the state during the training process and be open to relocation for a permanent position. This program is designed for motivated licensed nurses to grow into a leadership role with Oakmont, providing customized training for those seeking advancement in the senior care sector.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Candidates from Oakmont will need to have a minimum of six months in their current position
- All candidates will need to have a California LVN or RN License in good standing
- Must be willing to travel throughout the state during the training process
- Must be open to relocation for a permanent position
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse
- one (1) years experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership
- prior experience coaching or mentoring peers
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a passion for serving older adults
- Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
- Proficient in basic computer systems and ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
- Able to adapt and respond to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Must be coachable, highly motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR, as needed
