Job Summary
Assess residents for appropriate placement, develop care plans, and make daily rounds to ensure safety and needs are met. Process physician orders, manage medication administration, and monitor vital signs while maintaining accurate documentation. Lead direct care staff through performance appraisals, training on technical issues, and fostering a positive team environment. Assist with staff recruitment, budget planning, and emergency drills. Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain open communication with the Health Services Director and residents' families.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN license
- Proven, positive leadership in a senior living care environment
- Knowledgeable of state and federal regulations for assisted living and independent living facilities
- Ability to teach and train resident care staff
- Ability to schedule staff and cover shifts as needed
- Ability and skills to lead others and foster an environment that is receptive to change for improvement of quality resident care
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Maintains a current driver's license and complies with all requirements of our Auto Policy
- Ability to work in a stressful, sometimes demanding environment
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds occasionally (with assistance) and/or up to 50 pounds frequently
- Position may require bending, stooping, reaching, frequent ambulation both inside and outside the community and keyboarding
