Job Summary
Health Services Director role for a licensed nurse responsible for coordinating resident care and medication management under medical direction to keep residents as independent as possible. Responsibilities include communicating with healthcare professionals and state agencies, coordinating medical, dental, vision, and podiatry care, administering medications and treatments, training Medication Technicians, conducting admissions assessments and ongoing reassessments per policy and state regulations, interviewing potential residents and families for admission, and supervising care staff to ensure health needs are met. Requires CA LVN/RN license, management experience, and ability to teach staff; background checks and health screenings are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) holding a valid California nursing license in good standing
- Prefer two (2) years of experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees
- Able to obtain a valid Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Able to effectively teach/train staff
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must pass a criminal background clearance before beginning work
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Vaccination requirements or PPE usage as per regulatory guidelines (COVID-19 or other)
