Job Summary
Health Services Director in Training (HSDiT) program in California for Oakmont. The program advances team members in Health Services by providing department-head mentorship, leadership training, and on-the-job experience as they are placed at a community under a current Health Services Director to gain practical leadership exposure. The length is three months (subject to prior experience) with potential assignment to Health Services Director roles, Memory Care Director, Assisted Living Director, or Floating Health Services Director in stable properties after completion. The program requires travel across the state during training and relocation readiness for permanent positions; Oakmont emphasizes equal employment opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- California LVN or RN license in good standing
- minimum six months in current position for Oakmont candidates
- two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse; one (1) year experience in RCFE
- willing to travel throughout the state during training and open to relocation for a permanent position
- demonstrated interest in clinical leadership; coaching/mentoring preferred
- strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work with seniors and cognitively impaired individuals
- proficiency with basic computer systems and learning EHR tools
- read/write/speak English proficiently
- coachable, highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
- pass Criminal Background Check and Health Screening
Desired Qualifications
- Two years’ experience as a Licensed Nurse
- experience in Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- strong leadership and coaching/mentoring
- proficient with electronic health records
- English communication skills
- First Aid and CPR certification
- willingness to travel throughout California and relocate for permanent position
