Job Summary

Health Services Director in Training (HSDiT) program for Oakmont team members. The program provides customized leadership training and on-the-job experience managing a team as a Health Services Director within elder-care communities. Trainees are trained by department heads at the community level, gain a comprehensive understanding of managing a team, and may be placed at a community under a current Health Services Director after completion. The program includes travel throughout California during training and may require relocation for a permanent position. Salary range is $80,000-$85,000. The role requires California LVN or RN licensure in good standing, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, experience in nursing leadership or mentoring peers preferred, and the ability to work with seniors and interact with residents, families, and coworkers. Candidates must pass Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests and be coachable, motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Length of program is anticipated to be about three months, with potential for subsequent Health Services Director or related management roles across Oakmont communities; Oakmont is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Minimum six months in current position (candidates from Oakmont)
  • Two (2) years’ experience as a Licensed Nurse; one (1) year in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
  • California LVN or RN License in good standing
  • Willingness to travel throughout the state during training and open to relocation for permanent position
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership; coaching or mentoring peers preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work with older adults
  • Proficient in basic computer systems; ability to learn electronic health records and company tools
  • Able to read, write, and speak English to interact with residents, families, and coworkers
  • Adaptable, able to prioritize tasks and manage time
  • Coachable and motivated; able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Able to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR as needed
  • Must pass Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests
  • Program length ~3 months; assignment after program may include Health Services Director positions or related management roles at Oakmont properties
