Job Summary
Conduct rapid, evidence-based technical analysis and operational recommendations on diagnostic testing options for Ebolavirus to support deployment strategies in DRC and Uganda, while advising on domestic surge testing readiness and stockpiling in the U.S. Produce written reports, decision memos, and presentations for senior leadership to inform urgent CDC decisions on high-consequence pathogens. Collaborate with headquarters and overseas country offices to monitor, prevent, and control infections, developing guidance and training materials for public health partners. Manage complex surveillance and study data, ensuring high quality standards, and develop protocols and data dictionaries to improve collection and analysis. Participate in internal and external meetings to provide recommendations for data-driven action and assist with capacity building for disease surveillance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- MD/PhD or Master's in public health, biological sciences, epidemiology, or data management
- 7-10+ years including emergency response
