Health Science Teacher/Poynor (Starting January 2027)

Plan and present innovative health science technology curriculum covering therapeutic, diagnostic, informatics, and biotechnology pathways. Guide students through academic and technical skills to prepare for work-based learning experiences in healthcare. Create classroom environments conducive to learning, establish clear objectives, and employ varied instructional techniques using available media and equipment. Grade student work, maintain accurate records, and assess progress regularly while reporting suspected disabilities to specialists. Monitor student behavior to ensure safety, assist individuals needing special attention, and supervise teaching assistants. Maintain classroom inventory, coordinate special programs, and participate in staff meetings and committees. Conduct parent-teacher conferences and facilitate workshops to maintain positive relationships with families. Operate various machinery including audio-visual equipment and curriculum-specific instruments.
