Health Science (CTE) Teacher

Health Science (CTE) Teacher for Granbury ISD contracted position. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the career and technical education subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum; reflect accommodation for differences in student needs and learning styles; present subject matter according to TEA guidelines; use varied instructional strategies and technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process. Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; supervise teacher aides/volunteers; sponsor CTSO activities; contribute to extracurricular activities as assigned; maintain effective communication with parents, students, principals, counselors, and teachers; participate in staff development; comply with all relevant regulations; hold or be willing to attain a Commercial Driver’s License with 2 years of employment; manage a classroom environment and ensure student safety. Requires a Texas career and technical teaching certificate and either a bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma with wage-earning experience as required by certification; minimum one year student teaching or internship and at least two years wage-earning experience in the area of certification (if required).
