Job Summary

Manage environmental, health, and safety compliance and performance across the Memphis site, including four manufacturing units and a wastewater pH treatment facility. Interpret and communicate applicable federal, state, and local regulations to support their effective implementation while leading annual regulatory audits and inspections. Provide guidance to site leadership and operations teams on management programs, participate in incident investigations, and drive root cause analysis to identify sustainable corrective actions. Develop and deliver training programs, maintain compliance documentation, and enhance occupational health programs including respiratory protection and chemical exposure monitoring. This onsite role supports continuous improvement initiatives and partners with operations and leadership teams to strengthen safety performance within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, or a related discipline
  • At least two years of environmental, health, and safety experience
  • Working knowledge of Process Safety Management and environmental, health, and safety management systems
  • Strong understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and safe work practices, including confined space entry, line breaking, lockout/tagout, respiratory protection, and occupational safety programs
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, and compliance evaluations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Maintenance, Training, Engineering, Technology, Research and Development, and corporate functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop procedures, training materials, and compliance documentation
  • Experience analyzing data, assessing risk, identifying solutions, and supporting sound operational and business decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and continuous improvement
  • Experience leading Process Safety Management initiatives in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment
  • Certification such as Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification and experience applying continuous improvement methodologies
  • Minimum of five years of relevant environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing, operations, or research and development environment (alternative to Bachelor's degree)
