Health & Safety Specialist

Job Summary
Health & Safety Specialist responsible for supporting and promoting a safe, healthy work environment across the manufacturing facility. Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs; ensure OSHA/compliance; conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations; deliver safety training; participate in emergency planning and drills; support LOTO, machine guarding, confined space, fall protection, PPE, and environmental compliance; analyze safety metrics and drive continuous improvement; collaborate with employees and leadership to foster a culture of safety; some travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred or compensatory closely related work experience required
- 2-5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred
- Experience conducting safety audits, investigations, and training programs
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred certifications: OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, ASP, CSP, First Aid/CPR/AED, ISO45001 Internal auditor
