Job Summary
Implement environmental and safety programs while conducting EHS assessments and inspections to ensure timely remediation of identified issues. Support PSAM operations by interacting with regulatory and governmental agencies to guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Provide expertise to resolve known or potential safety issues and coach root cause analysis for recordable accidents. Deliver training and tools to core processes, communicate performance statistics, and drive actions to achieve overall EHS strategies. Perform physical duties including moving equipment up to 33 pounds, operating machinery, and working in cold or hazardous environments. Report to Senior Manager within the newly established Fill & Finish Expansions area, which designs and builds aseptic filling capacity globally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field of study from an accredited university
- minimum of one (1) year of experience in a safety environment
- Associate's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field of study from an accredited college or university
- minimum of three (3) years of experience in a safety environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- minimum of five (5) years of experience in a safety environment
- Intermediate working knowledge of OSHA & Environmental regulations
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Skills in root cause analysis for analysing accidents
- Ability to complete comprehensive EHS assessments/inspections independently
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001/18001
- Emergency Management/planning knowledge & experience
- Pharmaceutical (cGMP) experience
- Good communication & writing skills
- Working knowledge of fire detection/suppression/prevention systems
- Able to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets required
