Job Summary
Oversee occupational health and safety programs for one or more project sites within the District, analyzing trends and ensuring compliance with regulations. Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and equipment maintenance oversight for all project staff. Develop and approve Daily Hazard Analysis and Worksite safety/evacuation plans while managing injury reporting, investigations, and corrective action strategies. Ensure all required permits and certifications remain active to avoid construction delays. Provide technical expertise on training, equipment, and inspection requirements to support the construction schedule and promote cost savings. Submit project status and trend analysis to the manager and project team as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years' experience in construction or safety
- Experience managing construction or safety teams
- Developed skills identifying and mentoring direct report safety professionals
- Able to provide training and learning opportunities for construction teams based on expert safety knowledge and standard safety principles
- Proven skill to identify onsite project safety risks and develop innovative and compliant mitigation strategies within safety program and agency requirement standards
- Expert knowledge of construction site equipment, methods and processes
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with all levels of the organization

- Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety or a related field
