Job Summary
Manage environmental compliance programs, including wastewater permits, Tier II reporting, SWP3, and hazardous waste management while ensuring full compliance with OSHA and federal, state, and local regulations. Lead safety incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence across the plant. Serve as the primary contact for inspectors, maintain plant permits, and develop processes to ensure a safe working environment. Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives, establish tracking metrics, and lead HSE training programs to promote a "Zero Loss" safety mindset. Conduct regular audits and on-site assessments to identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment supporting Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs
- Bachelor's degree in HSE or a related field
- Equivalent experience leading HSE programs with relevant training or certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, DOT Hazardous Materials, RCRA)
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, including EPA, RCRA, Tier II reporting, and local permitting requirements
- Experience conducting plant inspections, conducting environmental sampling and supporting audits to ensure compliance
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train employees, prioritize multiple tasks, and promote a safe work environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
