Job Summary
Lead EHS function at the Craigavon site with responsibility for providing EHS expertise, managing EMS/SMS, driving ISO14001/ISO45001 compliance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and communicate EHS policies and procedures, coordinate mandatory/voluntary audits, promote health and safety performance initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, manage site emergency response activities, interface with liability partners, monitor EHS metrics, and lead training and staff development to improve workplace safety and environmental performance.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in related discipline (Occupational Safety, Safety Sciences, Environmental Engineering and/or other Engineering degree)
- Master’s degree preferred (Occupational Safety, Safety Sciences, Environmental Engineering and/or other Engineering degree)
- In lieu of Degree, 3rd level education along with + 5 / 7 years of relevant H&S management experience required.
- Training and certification required by HSE and other statutory bodies for the execution of duties.
- 7+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience, including previous leadership/management experience, preferably within a large manufacturing/engineering organisation.
- Experience with the development of EHS metrics, regulatory compliance initiatives, professional development and retention strategies.
- Specialized knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of sound practices regarding ISO 14001Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and ISO45001 Occupational Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Excellent Leadership, Analytical, Facilitation, Communication, Negotiation (verbal and written), Problem Solving and Organizational Skills.
- Excellent PC software application skills
