Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator - Fixed Term

Job Summary
Monitor and report on environmental, health, and safety performance metrics while analyzing trends to identify root causes of incidents. Coordinate occupational injury claims management, return-to-work programs, and facility inspections to ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with departments on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and corrective actions, supporting investigations and legal documentation when required. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain records for ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 management systems. Coordinate safety training programs and committee activities to support Johnson Electric's global motion systems operations in Ancaster, ON.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of Health, Safety, and/or Environmental experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Experience supporting workplace safety programs and compliance initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of integrity, accountability, and results orientation
Desired Qualifications
- CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001/OHS management systems
- Experience supporting safety committees and audit activities
- Experience with return-to-work and injury management programs
- Manufacturing or automotive industry experience
