Job Summary
Conduct site safety observations, inspections, and audits while developing training materials and new hire orientations. Perform incident investigations, oversee subcontractor safety compliance, and manage OSHA and MSHA documentation for worksites. Assist operations with risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and hazard controls. Participate in project planning meetings, morning huddles, and dynamic stretching at field locations. This full-time exempt role requires extensive travel overnight or long distances and adherence to corporate, federal, and state safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- HSE/Safety related Bachelor's degree
- 0-3 years of experience in a HSE/Safety role
- no degree with 1-3 years of experience in Heavy Civil construction
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel overnight or long distances on occasion
- willingness to learn and adapt to change
- Ability to work under deadlines and pressure
- excellent communication (verbal/written) & time management skills
- detail oriented
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations
