Job Summary
Health Safety & Emergency Management Specialist positioned within TC Energy to oversee HSE across multiple sites in the Power & Energy Solutions portfolio. Responsible for supporting HSE programs through reporting, risk assessments, audits, inspections, regulatory compliance, incident investigations, ICS coordination, and the implementation of the TC Energy Operational Management System (TOMS). Provides supervisory guidance to operations personnel, develops and maintains Site-Specific Safety Plans and Emergency Response Plans, analyzes HSE performance data, and facilitates continuous improvement of HSE programs, policies, and procedures. Hybrid role with Canada-based offices (Calgary and Crossfield) and aligns with company-wide safety culture and emergency readiness initiatives. Requires post-secondary degree or diploma in Health, Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline, a minimum of 6 years in HSE, strong regulatory knowledge, and capabilities in technical writing and incident response.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in Health, Safety & Environment
- Strong knowledge of applicable provincial and federal HSE legislation
- Demonstrated technical writing skills with experience developing procedures, work instructions, and policies
- Experience with Incident Command System (ICS) and supporting or responding to emergency or business continuity events
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and compliance evaluations
- Experience evaluating HSE and Emergency Management programs and identifying compliance gaps
- Professional safety certification (CRSP, CSP, or equivalent) is a plus
- Hybrid work model experience in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico
