Job Summary
Conduct on-site visits to clients, perform compliance audits, routine facility inspections, and industrial hygiene surveys to identify safety concerns. Develop and edit OSHA-compliant programs, lead safety committee and emergency response team meetings, and facilitate training sessions. Prepare agendas and follow-up reports for clients, manage daily tasks through internal software, and research regulations for applicability assessments. Complete special projects including lockout procedure development, job hazard assessments, and DOT/RCRA seminars. This role involves an average of 6-8 overnight stays per month with travel rewards and per diem support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in occupational safety in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the development and implementation of safety programs
- Working knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 and other OSHA/safety regulations, including state or regional-specific requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- An aptitude for sound decision-making
- The ability to assert good judgment
- Experience providing on-site visits to assigned clients
- Experience performing compliance audits, periodic training, and routine facility inspections
- Experience preparing agendas and follow-up reports to client contacts
- Experience developing, writing, and editing OSHA-compliant programs
- Experience facilitating safety committee and emergency response team (ERT) meetings
- Experience performing industrial hygiene surveys and conducting respective testing (air/noise)
- Experience managing daily activities and tasks through the company's internal software (MS Dynamics/PSA)
- Experience researching additional regulations and applying them to industrial equipment and operations
- Experience performing applicability assessments and data collection
- Experience developing lockout (LO/TO) procedures
- Experience developing Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs)
- Experience conducting DOT/RCRA seminars
- Ability to travel with an average number of overnight stays around 6-8 per month
