Health Safety and Sustainability Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of HS&S programs across site activities. Drive consistent application of HS&S standards, identify and mitigate workplace risks, support incident prevention and investigation, ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards, strengthen contractor/3PL HS&S performance, manage environmental compliance and waste programs, deliver accurate reporting and risk visibility, support audit readiness, contribute to workers’ compensation cost management, and promote a strong safety culture through engagement and awareness initiatives. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3-5+ years in automotive or highly regulated environments; familiarity with ISO 14001/ISO 45001, hazard/risk management, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, HSE data management, and related tools; industrial hygiene knowledge a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or related)
- 3-5+ years of experience in automotive or highly regulated industrial environment
- Knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management systems
- Hazard identification & risk management
- Incident investigation and prevention
- Emergency preparedness and response
- HSE data management and reporting
- Microsoft Office tools
- Plus: Industrial Hygiene knowledge
- Desirable: BATF&E requirements knowledge
