Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager

Job Summary

Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental health and safety programs to protect employees, visitors, and contractors while ensuring regulatory compliance. Identify and correct hazardous activities, enforce safety protocols, and conduct required training. Report incidents, root cause analyses, and corrective actions into the ARMs system, representing the company as the EHS subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and submit EHS reports, assessments, and records to internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies. Stay abreast of the latest EHS trends, policies, regulations, and best practices to advise management on resolving technical issues. Travel up to 20% as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of environmental health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High level of independent thinking and be able to resolve regulatory and technical issues to best advise management on resolving health and safety issues
  • Ability to interpret OSHA and EPA regulations and related safety/environmental regulations
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety Management, Environmental Management, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a management role
  • Professional certification (e.g. CSP, CIH, CHMM)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • ISO 14001/45001 experience
  • Experience in creating Power Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards
