Job Summary
The Health & Safety Administrator will provide professional administrative, coordination, and data support to the Health & Safety Director and team to underpin governance, communication, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include acting as a first point of contact for health and safety enquiries, coordinating meetings and boards, maintaining accurate health and safety records and documentation, monitoring and reporting health and safety data, administering health and safety training, supporting campaigns and corporate initiatives, maintaining the SharePoint site, communicating corporate standards, and building cross-department relationships to promote openness and shared responsibility for health and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Have experience providing administrative support in a busy, multi-disciplinary or complex organisations, with confidence managing competing priorities.
- Are comfortable maintaining records, databases and systems, and enjoy working with data, reports, and structured information.
- Are organised, methodical, and detail-focused, with the ability to plan, track actions, and follow tasks through to completion.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, including taking accurate minutes and producing clear documents.
- Are very proficient using Microsoft Office tools and SharePoint, and willing to learn new systems and processes.
- Take a proactive, helpful approach, using your initiative to identify improvements and support colleagues.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Are motivated by contributing to a safe, healthy and inclusive working environment within a public service organisation.
