Job Summary
Coordinate the Hudson River Fish Advisory Outreach Project, including developing communication deliverables, collecting data, and maintaining outreach databases. Support staff events to inform anglers about local fish health risks and benefits, while contributing to signage and mapping programs. Collaborate with project teams and community stakeholders to identify partnerships and evaluate outreach strategies. Manage tasks related to environmental public health tracking and climate resilience initiatives. The role involves 25-50% travel, evening and weekend work, and occasional holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health education or promotion, environmental science, a related social science or related field
- Two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program
- Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience
- Six years of such experience
- A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience
- Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- 25-50% of the time is required
- A valid driver's license in good standing
- Occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting
- Located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire
