Job Summary

Health Physics Associate supports radiation safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance across Cleveland Clinic Florida hospitals. Responsibilities include ensuring imaging and radiation-producing equipment (X-ray, CT) operate in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards; act as liaison with regulatory authorities; coordinate inspections and audits; address findings through corrective action plans; support radiation, radioactive materials, and laser safety programs; conduct investigations; and collaborate with clinical and operational teams to promote a safe environment for patients and caregivers. Travel to Florida facilities is expected; office space is maintained at Main Campus. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm. Requires audits of x-ray program records, review of site personnel, and interface with Florida Department of Health inspectors.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a safety/science technology area or an applicable health care area required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a safety, healthcare, or science field
  • Bachelor degree in a science, engineering, or safety field can substitute for two year of experience
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology (preferred)
  • ARRT certification (preferred)
