Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive health services planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation for enrolled children and families in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and state licensing regulations. Ensure timely preventive, oral, mental, and nutrition services while overseeing health record compliance, medication administration systems, and continuous quality improvement. Collaborate with families, providers, and staff to coordinate care for chronic conditions and facilitate onsite health screenings. Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations across all program sites, lead emergency drills, and manage Individual Health Care Plans. Analyze health data to identify trends and barriers, develop health policies, and partner with community providers to support family access to medical and dental resources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Community Health, or related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in related areas
- one year experience in public health, school health, community health, or preferably early childhood/ pediatrics
- Ability to travel between program sites using own transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Head Start or early childhood programs
- Experience with health compliance monitoring and electronic data systems
