Job Summary
Health IT Specialist at First Choice Primary Care, Inc. (FCPC) serves as the organization’s internal eCW (eClinicalWorks) superuser, supporting IT projects, software deployments, and user adoption across clinical and business technology needs. Responsibilities include planning, coordination, and implementation of IT projects; providing friendly, professional support to medical staff for the eCW EMR; creating and configuring eCW components (templates, letters, forms); developing training materials and delivering individual and group sessions; onboarding new employees and coordinating with MSP for issue resolution; generating routine reports and creating data visuals in Excel; maintaining inventories and supporting audits; and providing on-site IT support across multiple locations, including school-based health centers, with occasional travel to other sites. Requires an associate degree in a related field, 2+ years of relevant experience (preferred), familiarity with healthcare environments and eCW (preferred), strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is an on-site, travel-necessary role with standard business hours (8am-5pm).
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Health Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Two (2) years of experience supporting technology systems, healthcare applications, project coordination, or related functions (preferred)
- Experience in a healthcare environment (preferred)
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) (preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly
- Strong documentation and follow-up skills
