Job Summary
Part-time hourly Health Information Technology/Medical Billing Teacher for the Adult Career Education program. Provide quality instruction to adult students, create and follow lesson plans aligned with program guidelines, implement instructional programs, evaluate student progress, maintain attendance and performance notes in the database, and communicate with students. Requires current HIT/Medical Office/Medical Billing experience; familiarity with medical billing software. Preference given to candidates with 3+ years in the field and experience teaching adults; NYS Adult Education Certificate is optional. Classes are offered in multiple sessions (AM/PM/evening) across Buffalo locations, with duties including record-keeping and ongoing professional development opportunities. Salary specified as Hourly Vocational Teacher Rate; appointment is contingent on funding and enrollment.
Required Qualifications
- Current experience in Health Information Technology / Medical Office / Medical Billing fields verifiable by an employer
