Job Summary
Process release of information requests, including medical record retrievals, walk-in assistance, and fax/mail handling, while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and patient privacy. Safeguard privileged medical data by ensuring accurate documentation, assembling records in standard order, and creating digital images for electronic storage. Manage inbound/outbound calls and administrative duties such as data entry, document scanning to CD, and scheduling pickups. Work onsite in Waukesha, WI, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm CST, meeting productivity expectations and responding to fluctuating volumes with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to commute between locations as needed
- Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required
- Basic computer proficiency
- Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment on a regular basis
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records
- Strong data entry skills
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision responding to changing priorities and role needs
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment
