Job Summary
Maintain electronic and paper health records by accurately completing location, retention, and transfer tasks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and SCS regulations. Safeguard client privacy by verifying release requests, retrieving protected health information, and generating cover letters and invoices for clients, staff, and agencies. Conduct quantitative analysis on legal health record content to monitor completeness and accuracy, then scan documentation into the EMR with quality checks before submission. Perform clerical administrative duties including photocopying, scanning, and faxing within established timeframes. Full-time position with no unusual physical demands; lifting up to 10 pounds and occasional standing or walking required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One-to-two years' experience working in office setting and performing various clerical administrative tasks
- Position requires lifting up to 10 pounds
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with electronic health records preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
