Job Summary
ENTRY LEVEL Health Information Management Specialist responsible for analysis/reanalysis of medical records, managing documentation/work queues, following up with ancillary/nursing departments and providers for missing documentation, updating unbilled spreadsheets, reviewing electronic medical records in Meditech, creating charting deficiencies, and ensuring timely chart completion while adhering to company standards. Certification in CRCR required within 9 months of hire; EMR/HIM experience and healthcare-revenue-cycle knowledge are preferred. The role includes identifying systematic problems and assisting management, with company-supported professional development and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid)
- EMR experience preferred
- CMS and Joint Commission regulations knowledge preferred
- Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred (Acute care facility HIM experience)
