Job Summary
Health Information Management: Scanning Technician at Uptown Community Health Center in Denver, CO. Supports multiple clinics in coordinating medical records using paper and electronic systems; responsibilities include identifying document types, verifying patient information across pages, avoiding duplicates in the EMR, labeling documents per workflow, routing encounters, delivering and recapturing paperwork, and scanning completed documents into the EHR. Requires attention to detail, adherence to HIPAA, ability to work in a team, and effective communication. Preferred experience with EPIC and Onbase; bilingual English/Spanish is beneficial. Shift is Monday–Friday during daytime hours. Entry requires a High School diploma or GED and one year of healthcare experience; two years of healthcare experience and EPIC/Onbase familiarity are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One year experience in Healthcare
- Preferred: 2 years experience in healthcare
- Experience with EPIC
- Experience with Onbase
- Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations
- Bilingual English / Spanish
