Job Summary
The Health Information Management Analyst is responsible for deficiency analysis related to the EMR system, assigning medical record deficiencies, and liaising between Health Information Management and clinicians to optimize EMR workflow. Essential duties include analyzing medical records accuracy, scanning paperwork with 98% accuracy, and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements as per health regulations. The role requires collaboration with physicians to resolve discrepancies and meticulous management of various work queues within Epic, achieving high accuracy standards in deficiency assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Three years' experience in a medical record department
- Prior Epic experience desirable
- Knowledge of deficiency analysis
- Knowledge of medical records content and management
- Working knowledge of EMR, including experience with structured data and database management
- Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to health information and patient confidentiality
