Job Summary
Health Fitness Professional needed to support wellness at a corporate client site in Arden Hills, MN. Full-time role (40 hrs/wk) with base pay plus commission. Responsibilities include coordinating, implementing and delivering health and fitness programs; supervising facility; providing individual and group exercise instruction; educating participants on safe and effective techniques; conducting fitness testing and assessments; designing individualized programs; research and present health education topics; participate in membership drives; outreach to increase participation; create marketing/communication materials; oversee internship program; ensure safety and quality of programs. Requires an Associate’s degree or 2+ years of fitness/wellness experience, OSHA First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and NCCA-accredited Personal Trainer certification (within 60 days if not current). Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, MS Office proficiency; ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Prior certifications in Group Exercise (ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT, or NETA) are a plus but not required. Salary range $12-$20/hour plus commission; schedules Monday–Thursday 9:00–5:30, Friday 7:00–3:30. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.) or 2+ years’ fitness and wellness industry experience
- Fitness industry certification(s) from a HealthFitness approved provider
- OSHA compliant Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute
- NCCA Accredited Personal Trainer certification from an Industry recognized and HealthFitness approved agency; if not current, required within 60 days of hire
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
