Job Summary
The Health Educator will deliver evidenced-based programming to youth in various settings, conduct community outreach, and facilitate parent education workshops aimed at enhancing parent-child communication and promoting positive health behaviors. This role requires completing mandatory training, maintaining program participant records, and serving as an active member of community coalitions. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in health education or a related field, strong communication skills for teaching reproductive health topics, and the ability to engage inclusively with diverse youth populations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health education or health related field
- Ability to facilitate discussion /teach classes to youth on reproductive health topics such as reproductive anatomy, contraceptive methods, STIs, and HIV/AIDS
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends
- Knowledge of or experience with priority population to be served and community
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual skills, depending on the community and youth being served
- Experience working with youth and demonstrated ability to be inclusive and nonstigmatizing in their role
